It was at a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis that I would come across a man named Luca Cimmarotta who would introduce me to a white Pinot Noir and this wonderful Cabernet Franc.

Most people don't know about Cabernet Franc, and when they do, they normally know it to be a main part of Bordeaux blends. However, there are times when you do see it on it's own.

In this case, this wine does have 5% Merlot added to it, which gives it a little bit more spice.

This wine has some wonderful cinnamon and nutmeg attributes, a juicy flavor of dark plums and cherries, and tannins which, will showing you dryness, smooth out immensely after proper airing.

This wine is a phenomenal purchase, as is their rose also made from Cabernet Franc.

Our Mission: The Black Winer strives to expose African Americans [and others] to wines, without the flair, stuffiness, and airs of elitism and snobbery that you get from sommeliers and high level wine enthusiasts. We believe in finding something that you like the taste of, outside of the basic brands that you have been force-fed over the years through a combination of ethnically targeted advertising, and what people in your family have historically been drinking.
